Taking a walk we happened upon this alligator!
This is at the Gold Fish Pond / Water Fountain in Hollis Garden, downtown Lakeland
This is under a Royal Palm in Hollis Garden - These were one of our favorites!
Here is goofy Shep, showing off her newest pieces of Jewelry. This is Carribean Blue Opal Swarovski Crystals -- There is a pendant, earrings and a weaved bracelet that took me 5 1/2 hours to make!!!
These were lined as far as you could see along the bridge going to Clearwater Beach on the Gulf of Mexico.
We were about 2 hours getting to Clearwater because of traffic, so we enjoyed what scenery we could find from the car -- I thought this bush was really cool -- we have them in Michigan as well, but I don't know the technical name.
More trees along the roadside
This was my first real trip to the Gulf of Mexico and I had to play in the water even if it was getting late and everyone else was out of the water!
I loved playing in the waves as a child in Lake Huron. But in the Gulf of Mexico I was a bit hesitant to go in very deep. There were warnings of stingrays and jellyfish up for this day, so I didn't stray out too far.
It was late, but I was reluctant to give up playing in the water. Folks new we were 'northerners' because we thought the water was warm and we actually went IN the water.. grins!
This was a beautiful sunset even though it was a bit cloudy toward the end of the evening.
I wanted to remember the great walk we had along the Gulf - the water was so nice and I didn't want to leave for home.
This was a couple of days later at St. Pete's Beach... Again, I think I was the last one out of the water... we had a beautiful sunset this night.
This was our second sunset over the Gulf - this was at St. Pete's Beach.
Another shot of the sunset at St. Pete's Beach
When you don't have a camera man, you do self-portraits --- we had a great time trying to get one with both of our heads in the photo!
Harold at Ft. DeSoto Beach
Just after this photo there was a small blue speck where the sun is immediately after the sun disappears -- very awesome!
I am trying to get a photo of me holding the sun, but it just wasn't working out like I was hoping for -- so, we just enjoyed what we got!
In this shot, I wanted to 'hold the sun' in my hands. If you look closely around my hands, you will see that there is the shape of a 'dove' that cuts out part of my hands -- AWESOME! PTL!!!
