Prayer
Requests and Praise Reports
Be anxious for
nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to God;
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6,7

I would
appreciate prayers for me this week as I prepare to travel the 6
hours to my Dad's in order to sort out the rest of Mom's things
after her death last year. I will also be meeting my Dad's new wife.
It's a tall order for a normal person, let alone have fibro and
anxiety issues. I need physical, emotional and spiritual strength.
I'm usually exhausted just packing, etc. before I even leave. Thank
you in advance. |

UPDATE: The infection
is gone- and so is my energy . I have been on antibiotics four this
this year and am experiencing issues the frequent use of
antibiotics- frequent fatigue, stomach upset and diarrhea all caused
by overgrowth of Candida bacteria. I've put myself on a regimen of
probiotics, and trying to stay away from sweets, eating a lot of
fruit , vegetables and nuts. It will take some time. Pray for
patience for me, discernment, as I had exercise and other things I
things the Lord wants me to do as I get my system straightened out.
I know this may sound silly, but I've been through it before! It's a
matter of balance- in all area of life, spiritual, physical, mental.
The Lord is really teaching me about myself, and what I need to do
in various areas of my life. I am also trying to be more vigilant in
praying for others in this chat room, and other prayer needs of
which I am aware. |

UPDATE: My dad
continues to go downhill, fairly rapidly, with days that he doesn't
want to do anything except stay in bed, then cannot sleep at night.
My mom is exhausted as is my sister who is on duty through the
night. Please pray for him to get his 'clock turned around' as
we are trying to keep him up in the day so he will sleep better at
night. Additionally, his legs are getting weaker and walking
is becoming almost a danger some times. I have to take my mom
to her doctor appointments on Tuesday and I determined I was not
willing to take my dad with us -- something we always do -- because
I am to concerned he will not be able to handle getting in and out
of the vehicle. My mom is so tired and dealing with her
diabetes, but she's been so strong through this. I ask for
mercy and grace for all of us who are dealing with these issues.
Additionally, I
PRAISE GOD for the gal we were able to find and hire to come in and
help us. She's been a perfect match and is very knowledgeable
and helpful -- please pray that she will stay on even though we can
only afford to have her a limited number of hours per week. |

Our small
church is having a day of prayer on Wednesday, May 16th, Our main
focus is on our need for a new pastor. Something very promising has
come up, but we still have hurdles to overcome and want the Lord's
choice. Would you consider praying with us on that day? Our pastoral
search/ministry team, led by my hubby, are overburdened because it's
been 10˝ months since our former pastor retired. |

UPDATE: Thank you for
praying for us as we adjust to my hubby's mild diabetes 2. He's
managing it well, praise the Lord. However, he still has occasional
symptoms that are worrisome. The cause is so far unknown.
My husband
has just been diagnosed with Diabetes 2 and is on a new oral
medication for it. We are in the midst of learning about the diet,
etc. and really need prayer. With my ADD and OCD, I already find
planning, shopping and preparing meals difficult and time consuming.
I'm thankful that he is concerned about my stress level and is doing
a good job researching, testing and keeping records. Thank you. |

I received some
devastating news this week and ask your prayers for the Lord to
direct, guide and give peace in the midst of more grief. Pray
that I can 'feel the grief, but not carry it' as a wise, and dear
sister in the Lord suggested in an e-mail to me. Thank you. |

I ask that you
please keep me in prayer for traveling mercies this summer. I am
picking my sister up from the airport next Tuesday, May 15th, and we
are driving to West Virginia together to spend some time with our
spiritual mother. I will be driving back by myself on May 28,
Memorial Day, as my sister will be going to be with her fiancé in PA
before then. I will also be traveling to Indiana for two weeks in
July as well as some other miniature trips. I love to drive but
always get anxious before a big trip. Thank you! |

My soul is
downcast. My hernia surgery recovery is not going as well as I had
anticipated. Strange pains seem to linger in different parts of my
body. My neck stiffness, due to ankylosing spondylitis, has
worsened. My daughter has some excessive sleep issues and a small
weight problem. My wife is experiencing pain in her liver. I am
afraid for me and my family. Sometimes, I feel like crying. Please
pray for healing of bodies and hearts, and that the Lord would
strengthen my will and help me to have courage. |

UPDATE: I woke up
Tuesday morning with hard chills and a fever over 100 degrees.
Although a chest X-ray was not conclusive, a high white count,
congestion, and the fever led my doctor to diagnose an early case of
pneumonia. Quick treatment with antibiotics resulted in no fever in
less than 24 hours. After three days, I am finally starting to feel
better. Please pray that I continued recovery, and that I can stay
clear of sinus/respiratory infections. I am sleeping better. Thank
you for your prayers and support. |

UPDATE: I have
taken some stronger measures in hopes of getting the carpet replaced
in my apartment and ask for your prayers that this will not need to
go to a legal issue to get it replaced.
Please pray for
me to find strength to go the race with the apartment issues.
The carpeting MUST be replaced because it is causing migraines -
I've had 6 in the short time I have been here, plus respiratory
issues. It is very obvious that the backing is falling apart
and the dust is causing problems, but the landlord will not take
action without either a doctor's note or me getting a lawyer.
I'm tired! |

Ongoing Need: We
are 'kept online' as a result of donations from all of you who use
the room and make contributions when you are able.
Is God calling you to be a regular financial donor to this site?
Could you commit to making a monthly donation of whatever amount the
Lord leads you to make?
If you would like to make a monthly (or one-time) contribution,
contact
Shep or
visit the donation tab above!
As we continue to
grow, we also need greeters. There is a volunteer tab above
and you can download a sheet to share your interest as greeter, a
prayer warrior, or something else on the sheet. Pray, as we
will surely also do, that God leads the people HE wants to fill
these positions to help alleviate the responsibility from falling on
just a small few. If you cannot volunteer, remember, EVERYONE
can pray!
